Saturday Redfish Slam!
Enjoyed catching some nice reds again Saturday morning. We found them just where we left off the day before. I fished with Keith & Sandra Nelton along with Sonny Marcel and Brittany Bilbo from the Houma area. It was a little slower fishing than the day before but we still filled the big igloo to the top with those big ole redfish. The reds hit on swim baits,spinner baits and gold spoons. Sandra showed the boys how its done with the gold spoon as she caught the largest red and had no problem catching her limit. Everyone caught fish except for Brittany who never picked up a pole. She was there for moral support of Sonny as the crew had a great time on the water. We had 6 or 7 big bruisers pop our lines as I'm going up to 17lb test for the next trip. It won't happen again. This crew was fun to fish with and big thanks to Doug Clement with Energy Cranes to make it happen as we really need the business right now. Capt Marty helped out with a second boat as they had no problem filling the 15 fish limit by noon. Good luck fishing.
