Reds in Hopedale 7-2-10

Yak-em and I went down to Hopedale today to chase some reds with the fly rod. Caught 5 reds and 5 specks. I caught all the specks on the fly and one of the reds. It was a fun day exploring new areas and seeing a ton of garfish. Austin will be posting video and pictures later when he gets them edited. Headed back Sunday to Hopedale to check out more new area. May head to Chalmette in the morning but not at the crack of dawn.

and it was my fault too

i dropped a fish :(

but let me say, Lucas is a better net man

he dropped his coastas in the water and he darn near dove in and saved them before they went out of sight

just think

if you could have done that for my 17+ pound bass at toledo i could hold a record

Water must be clear...them reds are glowin'.

Sportin' the Falcon duds.

The water was actually rootbeer colored due to low oxygen

long story

there were lots of garfish breathing on the surface
