Is it too soon for looking for a deer/hog lease.

I am looking for a hunting lease for hogs/deer, I am used to hunting in Texas and haven't been hunting in LA yet. I will be moving to LA in November, just in time to go to Texas for the hunting season to hunt with the old man. Are there any sites to find places in LA or does someone need another hunter on their place? Thanks for any help.

Most leases are paid in June. Now the timber Companies are looking to lease the land that has been dropped. Depending what area you are looking for in a deer lease you can call the timber companies and ask what is available. There is Roy O. Martin, Weyerhauser, Plum Creek just to name a few. Roy O. Martin is usually the highest but has plenty of land. Plum Creek is the easiest usually to deal with once you've made it through the first year. You can look at a couple of other out door web sites and see if a club is looking for members or the local news papers. Good luck. Also most companies lease only to INCORPERATED clubs. So easy to do a cave man can do it. Go to the clerk of court and fill out the paperwork. Usually less than a $100 and it's done.

Google some of the paper company sites, Some will post property for lease. We pay our lease at the end of April every year.

Where are you moving to, I may be able topoint you in the right direction?

RaginCagin not sure of where I am moving quite yet, but I am shooting for within an hour of Fort Polk. I would much rather drive a longer way to work, than to the lake!!!
