USFWS Survey
Last year I was chosen by the USFWS to submit wings from the ducks I killed. They use the data to determine sex, species and age of the harvest from different areas of the country. Below are the results of 16 birds I submitted from our trip to Passe a L'outre last season. 12/26 - 12/28
Plaquemines Parish LA 3 Gadwall Adult Males 4 Gadwall Immature Males 2 Green Winged Teal Immature Male 3 Green Winged Teal Immature Females 1 American Wigeon Adult Male 1 American Wigeon Adult Female 1 Mottled Duck Immature Male 1 Mallard Immature Female It was fun being able to participate in the duck harvest survey and I was notified I was picked again this year. Though I'm not too sure about their sexing. The only mallard I shot was a greenhead. Maybe she was a cross dresser. |
You got that in the mail? When did you get it? I sent in about 50 wings.

I got it in the mail yesterday 6/29. It says you will receive the wing envelopes in time for hunting season unless you notify them that you don't want to participate again.
