fla trip recap/video

got the chance to fish with waterbowl(mike) from the site in Punta Gorda fla, this weekend in the Flatsmaster tournament. it was me , mike and nick( the owner of low tide boats) . they had some bad arse flats boats down there , very fast very shallow drafting. as far as the tourney we didn't do so hot we weighed in 2 small reds but it got mike some points for the series so it will give him a shot at trying to win the series for the second year in a row. if anyone is interested in a bad arse flats boat look up lowtide on the net and give nick a holler hes super cool and makes a real dry ,fast boat. waterbowl had me holdin on for dear life 90% of the time id say we were runnin 55+mph in 12" of water or less his boat and boating skills are amazing . you can see in the video a shot of birds standing in the water where we are running to show how shallow it was, in the rooster tail shot you can see grass flyin up!!! I'm deff. gonna make a trip back there to tarpon fish boca grande, when we rode through boca grand it was the most beautiful turquoise water ive seen that close in ever in my life! oh yeah check out the lake and bay with the 100 dollar bill wrap!!! *****

nice video mike... that is some skinny water for sure. That wading up to your shoulders seems like it would get a little old though

There were 53 boats in the tournament which is just below the norm. As for the wading we had a very high tide due to the Tropical Storm that just went through about 3:00AM that morning. Pox was a great sport about it all. Just sucks the fishing wasnt as good due to the storm.

That underwater shot of the redfish is my favorite part of the video, that's pretty badazz!
