I was looking at the quick quarter and there is one listed. 4 miles north of Gueydan for $6000 per year.

Just got in one for a fraction of that price. All Marsh, great spot!! Keep looking. I may take a few years, but you'll find one

It's tough man. First lease I got in on my own was about 6-7 years ago in Kaplan. We killed about 10 ducks all season! Don't just jump into something cause u want a lease. I moved on from that to a spot around Lawtell where we killed about 250-300 ducks. Then about 3 years ago I finally got my hands on a lease in Pecan Island. Just gotta keep searching and searching.

If they are advertising it, odds are it's not that good if they can't find anyone to lease it.

We have a lease a little SW of Kaplan and we pay 5K. we will also have it set-up for teal season. FYI, if you do find a lease that is open for lease, I would ask the landowner for the phone # of the last person that had it; find out why they quit leasing it. Usually, even an average lease goes quick once it is open. If you could get something in the marsh (Pecan Island) thru Vermillion Corp that is the way to go. However, you need a boat but like any other+hunting+area+not+all+spots+are+good.++My+fat her+in+law+hunts+with+a+guy+that+has+leased+from+V ermillion+for+years.++He+has+a+section+with+3+blin ds+and+over+the+past+few+years+only+1+blind+is+rea l+steady+with+killing+birds+and+the+other+2+kill+2-3+birds+per+hunt.++If+I+hear+of+something,+I+will+ PM+you.......good+luck.....
