Dularge Trout Fishing

Enjoyed a beautiful Friday afternoon and late evening fishing trip down on the DU! An evening trip is rare for me as Jonathan 'Bones' Tournillon and Ronald Touchet wanted to give it a go. We got on the water around 3:30 and got back at the camp at dark-thirty. The wind was down as it has been all week and the water was clear green everywhere we fished. First 3 stops didn't produce a single fish but our last 3 stops paid off bigtime. Armed with double rigged LSU chubs the crew went to work filling up the box with nice trout. Solid 2 pound fish mixed with a few 3 pounders as all the trout were very nice. We had no tide movement to speak of and we really had to coax the fish to bite. The fish were suspended and not feeding on the bottom. Most were caught on the fall not far under the surface. Good to finally put some trout in the boat for a change! The crew were fun to fish with and they left with plenty of fillets. Good luck fishing.
