Headed out to the pernt yesterday afternoon. We were greeted with pretty,but whitcapped water right out of the quintana canal. The wind made for a tough afternoon,but we ended up with a few reds and a few specks. Fished the island,and the pass.All of our fish were caught on artificials. I didnt really want to keep the bull red,but he had swallowed my crankbait too deep,and was bleeding a lot,so He bacame a half shell.

i wish i had gone fishing today, slept late. how far of tow you have to the launch?

In another month or 2 when the specks move in! I've heard that since Feb!!!!!!!!!

Same here, I figured if I woke up early enough I would go but I didn't get out of bed til 8:30

he-he, I was just finishing cleaning fish at that time,before i went to work.

i woke up at 11, then went back to sleep around 1 :*****:

but i did get home at sunrise :D

the water in the cove was really pretty, had some salt in it too. didnt stop to fish it though. Didnt see any boats fishing it either,but then again the wind was bad,prolly everybody was in weeks bay

no problem dude, I will be going out there again and staying at a buddies camp thur-sat,so Ill try and post as we go.

I went this morning, got to the bay around 8:30, caught 2 undersized reds and a couple croakers but didn't keep them. The wind picked up so I headed back in. I just fished the banks around the Chene and the Delcambre Canal. Not too many people out there this morning.
