Anyone have one?How do they ride,whould a yamaha f225 be enough?

Don't have one yet but should be ordering mine within the next 4~6 weeks. I'm going to go with the 225 Pro XS. Went for a test ride a few weeks back and the boat is unbelievable. We picked a nice windy day just to see if the boat ran as good as I keep hearing. The ride is fantastic and very dry. Seems to me the faster you go, the better the ride. I would think any 225 would do a great job. Should be in the mid to upper 50s

Never rode in one but everyone that has one loves it. I would go with a 250,same weight not much cost difference.

I would put a 250 on it . A 250 will push that rolled edge hull

I already have a brand new 225,would hate to have to spend money on another motor

That rolled edge hull in 24' prolly weighs less than a capped 22' bay boat , most 22ft bay boats have 225's I would say if you already have the 225 go wit it but if you were buyin a motor I would put the max hp so you don't have to run wot to get somewheres quick and if you do need the extra speed like runnin from storms or tourneys it's nice to have. Is the motor you have a 2 or 4 stroke?

It is a four stroke,i have it on a 24' fishmaster right now,i like the layout of the boat,but it does not ride good,has no lift to it and wot is only 51 mph.Did i mention it is pretty wet,and won't turn without cavitating.

i've heard on 2cool that a 225 pro xs can can push the boat over 60 easily, i don't know if that's light or loaded. i'd put money on light.

great riding hull, IMHO second to only yellowfin.

haynies seem nice but use to much wood. dont care how much glass you put around it moisture will find its way to it

I've ridden on one. It had a 275 suzuki 4 stroke. It topped out at 61-63. I'm not sure I'd only go with a 225 on that boat. It would be fine, but probably wouldn't eclipse the top end you are getting now.

IMO, just sell the whole set-up you have now, boat/motor/trailer/ etc and start over.

If it were me, i'd put the 250 Yamaha SHO or the 275 Verado on the HO.

My best friend has one and I've fished out of MANY times. Great boat. Plenty of room, smooth dry ride, and it very comfortable to fish out of. He has the 250 pro xs on the back. i wouldn't go with any less than that. Very light boat, but if you go with the 225 you might be really disappointed. I'm sure you could sell that motor to someone looking to upgrade their horsepower.
