We finally got some rain last night......~ 3/4". In the past couple of days it has rained all around SW Louisiana, just not at my house.

There has been a steady drizzle today.......total is up to 1.25" now.

Fool.......Please let it rain some more. The ground is still very dry.

Catfish (and reds) bite in muddy water.

huntin fool 07-07-2009 01:00 PM

yalll think i should go try for reds at the barrier...would it be worth it?

Gerald 07-07-2009 01:04 PM

I only caught 1 Red [in about 1.5 hours fishing] near the barrier about a month ago.

Caught it down along the "grass".

Yep. I would try going up the channel towards the end of River road, back towards those plants at the end of Ryan St. Try throwing gold spoons or gulp! fishing all those little cuts going back into the marsh.

Y'll need to stop all this talk about going fishing.
