DVR to DVD
 

what all do I need to transfer all the stuff I have saved on my DVR to a DVD.....I have a DVD burner in both my laptop and computer, just never burned a DVD...which software/program is best? free?

You won't be able to do it. Since it is illegal, they have to encrypt the data on the DVR so you can't copy it. You can buy an analog capture card for your computer and play the shows while it captures them, but that's about your only option. And it won't be digital quality.
