H20 Mettle Baitcaster....
 

I need a cheap baitcaster for my third rod. I was told that the Academy special -- H20 Mettle's are holding up well. Anyone using one for saltwater? How is it holding up?

My Abu Garcia (i think its a C5000) has lasted the longest out of all my reels, casts good and far i love it.

I have 4. Their pretty solid. I grab them before my curado 200dhsv's. Just rinse 'em off after each trip

Saltyshaw, I don't like those round garcias. I rather a low profile baitcaster. I grew up on those old garcias... but have found low-profiles to be more comfortable to fish with.

Yeh i know what you mean, i fished with a curado for a while it was nice but it got stolen in academy parking lot :( so i have been using my old Abu. I mightn have to check this reel out yall are talking about.

Nasty. I've had 2 for about 4 years. Just bought 2 more about 3 months ago
