Never bring a stingray into the boat. Grab the line way up above it and cut the line.

If you think a cat fish sting is bad......a stingray is 10 times worse. At least that is what I have read.

I stepped on one in fourchon several years ago.
I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy(Jeremy Waltrip),LOL

4 days of the most excruciating pain you can imagine.
I wanted to cut my leg off several times.
What I didn't know at the time was the treatment.
Get the wound in as hot water as you can stand.
It will draw the poison out of the wound.

I stab every one I catch and let um go.
I have a vendetta against them.

Tim, You actually eat them. Tell me you are kidding!

Dink 05-07-2009 08:52 AM

Yes Gary, I'm kidding.............but if I was to clean one, that's what I'd use..........

I was trawling one day and as i was picking up the net a sting ray got me (just a little cut on my finger). Its about 1000X worst than a wasp. My arm with numb all the way to my shoulder, its bad. the only thing you can do is put hot water on it helps alot; i guess pissing on it might work.

No,pissing only works for jellyfish. It's the amonia in the piss that helps with jellyfish.
I got harpooned in the ankle by the stingray.
It was really ,really bad.

Major sting !

I have wondered what level of pain the Crocadile Hunter (Steve Erwin) must have endured when he got hit in the heart !! by that big ray ?

that's usually what happens when you tip your soft plastics with dead shrimp.
