despite the adverse conditions with the post front conditions it turned out to be a great weekend on the bend! My dad and I fished some deep creek channels leading into the backs of coves in the mid lake are. the fish were holding in 15 to 25 feet of water and SLOW was the key. caught on shaky head, jig, carolina rig, drop shot, etc. All toll we caght 28 fish with 16 keepers and 4 that would fit into the NICE catagory.....betweek 4-6lbs. Water is LOW so be very careful but the fish are bighting and concentrated....saw several people catching nice crappie too.

Have a great Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!

YellowMouth,
Thinking of going to the camp Sun. for a few days. I'm around N. Toledo State park. Any ideas around that area?

Thanks!

Yes it took some hunting.....some of the boat lanes in Lanan have very deep water.

Nice fish. Looks like both of y'all had a good time. That boat lane is dangerous north of there. Saw a stump right next to a buoy in addition to the bottom just under the surface 3 weeks ago. May be the 4th or 6th buoy to the right of your head.
Cajun Saint, I did decent around North Toledo State park on red eye shad and some square bill cranks ripping them outta the grass. Biggest was close to 6, and number of 4's.
Not only are the stumps a danger, but the birds sitting on them lining channels are also. I nailed a blue heron with my gps antenna, that sticks up maybe 3 inches above my windshield, doing maybe 60 just before dark. Scared the crap outta me.
