Cal River Tournaments
 

There are several tournaments on the calcasieu river coming up and I wanted to let everyone know about them. Every Wednesday, Ron Castille has his Dogfights that start at 4:45 and weigh in is at dark. Entry is $45 per boat and highest finishing team with a Toyota tow vehicle wins $100. Pay out is 1 place per 7.5 entries. This Saturday, July 18 there will be an open team tournament out of White Oak Park (Formerly Ward 8 Park). Entry is $35 per person with 1 or 2 man teams. Blast off will be at Safe Light and weigh in is at 2pm. I fished a tournament these guys put on last Sunday and they do it right!! They have been putting on a tournament every weekend somewhere and have been alternating between the river and Lacassine. Hope to see yall at one or both of these. Until then Good luck and be safe.
