Down In Dularge!

Dularge Trout Fishing
Big trout invade Dularge. An incredible day of trout catching with 16-24 inch fish! We found the trout stuffing themselves with small pogies and 2-3 in finger mullet. Wayne Battaglia, Jeff Winslow, and Gregory Langridge whacked the trout as we caught 100 fat trout on LSU and Limetreuse chubs. We caught a few on swim baits but they wanted the chubs today. It's been a roller coaster ride in regards to the weather with freezing temps followed by warm weather in the 70's! Don't let this crazy weather discourage you from fishing! The fish are biting!! If you want reds fish the first couple days after the fronts when water temps and tides are low. When water temps rebound to the mid 50's the trout will start feeding again. A slow retrieve is a must if you want to catch fish in the winter. This pattern will continue through January. Good luck fishing and merry Christmas to everyone! Pics will be posted when I get home from my camp. Capt Bill Lake 985-851-6015 985-637-3712 |
