Big Lake newbie

Well, Ive been wanting to try out Big Lake and see what all the fuss is about down there for some time now. Finally had some time today and an ivitation from Jeremy Waltrip,so I couldnt pass it up any longer. Chris Reed came along for my initiation too.We were met at the landing with a stiff cold breeze. I was very thankful I had packed my big coat just in case. We headed north, and started drifting. It didnt take us long to start hooking up with some very nice trout. We even gave cpr to about a 5lb. trout we found struggling on top of the water that someone must have just released. After a few minutes of working with the fish, she finally swam off to fight another day. We had a great time on the water and ended up with a 3 man limit of trout Other than being a little chilly, it was a very impressive first visit to the lake that is called Big.
