Opinion about Camping/Fishing Trip

What do ya'll know about Lake Bruin? I know this is not a common place but wanted to see if anyone on here has been there before or could just tell me anything about the lake itself. I am thinking about a camping trip up there in May but wanted to know if it would be worth my gas or not? Thanks.

Yes..... Awesome & beautiful place! The state park (camp ground) is very nice, used to fish that place 2 or 3 times a year, you won't be disappointed

Lake banks are covered in cypress with camps & long piers, plenty of structure to fish, I have a buddy who lives on the lake, come closer to your trip let me know & I'll get a report for ya

Good luck! I rarely fish oxbow lakes but I heard good reports last year from bruin.
