Hankos boats

Does anyone have one and how do you like it? I am thinking about maybe buying one in a center console 18 or 19 ft model with a semi v bottom for fishing Toledo Bend and also Vermillion Bay. How do they handle the chop?

My ex-brother in law has one that he uses to fish oysters.
It is old, thick and in great shape for it's age.
They are tough boats.
It was built for fly fishing, but he bought it and drags a shrimp
net and an oyster dredge.

Hanko builds great boats but he's over priced IMO. There are other builders that have much better prices. Check out Sportsmans Fabrication in Morgan City.

There is another good boat builder in Stevensville, but I can't remember the name.

If you want a Hanko, get ready to get off some greens, big time.

Well who else is good and cheaper than Hankos with a quality boat and who stands behind it?

I've got a 21x6 hull if you ever want to go for a ride let me know. The hull was built by A-1 Custom Fab and was bare(just a console a small front deck) then the guy I bought it from had Casey ayt Sportsman Fab gut it and add a larger front deck and back deck with large cc and wide gunnels. Casey builds great boats and I know the guy that has the first boat Casey built and its still on the water.
