Odie Guidry
Odie Guidry, 176 Joan Ann Drive, Cut Off, was arrested for aggravated assault.

Guidry allegedly argued with a man and his son, who were in a canoe, around 6 p.m. in a bayou near East 138th Street. As the father and son left in their canoe away, the father told deputies, Guidry fired a gun.

Guidry told deputies he wasn't shooting at anyone, but fired to clear his weapon. He was released from the Lafourche Parish jail after posting a $500 bond.

on one side, it understandable, since for many trappers, it's there way of living

on the other hand, discharging a firearm in the vicinity of a man and his child(with their backs to you) is not cool at all

Sorry bro. I was being sorcastic. I never even carry a gun. I don't hunt. I have some in my home and just take the wife target shooting. I apologize for the confusion.

i wasnt being harsh on you man, just saying. back in the day, it was nothing for someone to get shot robbing another man's crabtrap, you're essentially taking food out his and his kid's mouth, but at the same time, if it's a man and his lil son, when has the line been crossed?

If they were running his traps, I bet that kid will never consider doing it himself!

Can't say I'd let one loose with a kid involved but, when I was crawfishing, a kid was involved every day I was out there...Mine! I fed my family like that when there wasn't a job to be bought anywhere.

I know a guy from Cameron who was found shot to death for stealing crabs out of crab traps in Big Lake.
