Totaled Truck

My truck was T boned by a 18 wheeler Saturday with my wife and 2 kids in it because the driver of the 18 wheeler wanted to pass her before she turned. In a NO PASSING ZONE!!!! Over $20,000 in damages the truck was totaled.

Was everybody ok? dont worry those truck companies have some serious insurance coverage

As long as no one was hurt, I would not sweat it. Trucks can be replaced, people can't and the tractor has Good Surance. Word to the wise, let them make a settlement before you go and give an ambulance chaser 40% of that settlement. Do your homework on the value of your truck and the cost of a replacement and don't try to retire on what you think they owe you. P/M me if you have any other insurance questions regarding your unique situation.

Yeah man, vehicles are disposable, people aren't. As long as no one was hurt, thank your lucky stars! Insurance will handle the rest and when they are in the wrong, they typically handle it very quickly to diffuse the situation.

I hope everyone walked away unscaved.;)

Yeah for the most part. My wife has been hurting the most. They all went to the hospital after it happened.

Kudos for offering your assistance. This can be an overwhelming experience if a person does not have someone on the side to ask for guideance besides the 40% legal hounds....

And Powell, I'm glad everyone is still alive dude. I hope everyone starts to feel better soon...:)

Sometimes it is better to walk down the hill d "DO" them all than run down and "Do" one grasshoppa. Drama will get ya nowhere today, gotta use the ole knoggin!

People seem to lose their sense of control when collisions occur. I see mad
people almost daily over this and my response is, "were you hurt?"

90%say no and, to that I say, "then, what's the problem?"

These things can be fixed! And, that "doctor's care" crap, the next time your premiums go up, don't complain if you've recited
those words!

40% to an attorney, another large % to taxes, fed, state and local doesn't leave that many % Left!
