I have rigged a couple gator flats from bare hull to finished product. Rigged one with a 7000 mb and 2 with outboards. Great boat for red stalking for sure. You are going to love that 45!!! Throw a Mikuni on it and waker her up as you already have the roller rockers with a 45 from the factory

fullrutt 04-16-2011 01:37 PM

Southshore how much difference will that mikuni make?

Sea-Trac Offshore 04-16-2011 01:44 PM

Its better for load carrying and you will see some more top end. Just the throttle response is worth it to me. night and day as you do not have all the linkage and governor like on the stock. With the Mikuni it can idle lower and instant throttle. What exhaust you going with?

A good bit! she needs to breathe, and the stock carb and intake restricks it unbeliveably! Let em hang out dair in the wind man, Go balls deep! SouthShore worked on a couple of my briggs motors, and im sure he'll agree when he chimes back in!

fullrutt 04-16-2011 02:03 PM

Yea I don't know much about the mikuni carbs hanging out? But I'm always open to ideas to make her run better!!
My last two rigs had twin engine so they were stock 35's.
My last duck boat was a 45 and it was a beast so if a mikuni will help I would consider it for sure
