Fishing report from the windy Lake Calcasieu

We just had our biggest gust of wind which seemed to be about 125 knots. This has been great kite flying weather!! When it lies down to 95 the fish better lookout fishermen are ready to get out there. There are numbers of trout and redfish in the lake getting ready to be caught. Soon this wind is going to lie down and give everyone a break. Just last week there were a couple of days the wind laid for a couple of hours in the morning giving way to some trout and reds being caught. The southeast part of the lake along with Prien Lake is holding numbers trout and redfish. Favorite baits are TTF Hackberry Hustlers in the color (Mumpy) and early morning Mirror lure She Dogs have been producing some nice trout.
