Polly Wogs

What good are they ? Caught about 90 in a trap this weekend and threw them in a ditch by the house. My grandpaw said their good for catching bigger cats in the creek on limb lines. Anyone heard of this ?

Smallest of the 90 was about 4" and all were fat as heck.

i could be wrong but i thought that was what turned into a toad

mcjaredsandwich 05-02-2011 12:17 PM

I have only known a polly wog to be a big tadpole.

mcjaredsandwich 05-02-2011 12:19 PM

If they are a bunch of big tadpoles, grow them! Then you can have all the live frogs you want for bass bait..

"A tadpole or polliwog (also pollywog or porwigle) is the wholly aquatic larval stage in the life cycle of an amphibian, particularly that of a frog or toad.
