Well Harley girl made it through 14 years......an attack by an alligator, run over at least twice......but the years took their toll.
We have two other bassetts but Harley was the premidonna (sp) of the bunch.

Man it's a tough job digging a hole for a 75 pound dog with no legs and all ears!!

Sorry to here bro.. I had a tough time burying my sister's duck the other day, I can't even imagine whats going to happen when my lab passes.

Sorry to hear though man. Its tough. They truly are man's best friend

sorry for your loss, man. i had a good ol mutt named harley for 17 years, it's hard to take when u have them so long. it took me over a year to stop looking for him on his pillow when i came thru the front door. remembering all the funny things they did helps some.

I just broke up with my girlfriend...sure wish I was letting you dig a hole for her instead of your pup!

If I was digging a hole that big, it would be my ex.............man that would be a bigun too.........she is 300 or so on the huff.........

Man, me and my dog have travelled all over the country together and been to hell and back together. Saying goodbye will be a hard day. They're our second set of kids.

She was a Jew...but she sure was a sexy little thing. To tell ya the truth. I'm kinda heart broken

They never last long enough and only require our love and affection for complete happiness.:) SP, I had to do the same thing many years ago and it still makes me sad but remembering the good times always brings a smile back to my face.

sorry to hear the bad news........ i never thought i would be this way, but i would hurt somebody over my lab......... he still has many years ahead of him i hope

my lab is 5 months old and I would probably go to jail over him if someone hurt him.....

I lost a 15 year old chocolate lab to old age. It almost kilt me too.
Then someone stole a 12 year old yeller lab from me.
Then I lost a 10 year old black lab to a disease he was born with.

No more dogs for me, unless I start hunting ducks again.
