Carrot Stick Rods

I have been checking out the carrot stick rods thinking about getting one. One guy i talked to said that he knew a few people that they were breaking on them. Do any of you have one? what do yall think?

i was talking to waltrip about them last night...he swears waterloo rods are better....carrot stixs are so LIGHT, i plan on getting the saltwater version 7fter soon..ive heard goods and bads about them, but they have a lifetime warranty

yeh i was checking them out the other day at that little bait shop in sulphur. they are light as heck. and the lifetime warranty is nice.

i picked one up at lake charles tackle, didn't like it at all

if you want light go castaway skeleton

cmdrost 07-31-2009 12:39 PM

i'm a waterloo man myself.....highly recommend them

other really good light rods: laguna rods, american rod smiths, g-loomis, even shimano makes a good ultra light now.

Fool....There are a lot of folks that spent money on the carrot stixs and broke them.....Ask Nate....He broke 3 or 4.....Darren O is selling his....Spend the extra and go with a Waterloo....

Waterloo is an awesome rod. I dont deny that one bit. I have one myself and love it.

I think its a mattter of what is comfortable for you. When I first started really getting into bass fishing a long time ago, the first "real" (other than ugly sticks and walmart cheepo's) rod that i held was a Falcon. The fella that had it let me use it for the day and i fell in love with it. Im sure there are several rods out there that are better than the falcon. Its the falcon that I am comfortable with tho.
