Built one a few months ago. Get you a motorcycle amp, they're small and waterproof, a couple waterproof speakers and one of those small blue batteries (id have to look it up to get the brand and type). The motorcycle amp has an audio in port that you can run a wire to for your ipod, it works awesome and the whole setup was around $150.
