New rig thoughts
I have been in the market for a new rig and I have it down to 2 models. The Haynie Z21 or the 2200 Pure Bay. Those of you that are familiar with these two models what are the pros and cons in your opinion.

Oh boy here we go again.....I would go with the pure bay. Haynie has a 14 week wait

Yay another "haynie or 'this boat'" thread. get the haynie you wont be disappointed. pure bay makes a good boat but everyone is gonna tell haynie if you have the money to spend. my 2 cents.

Pure Bays are sweet to I like em both |
Had the purebay220 with a 225 yammy 4 stroke. Loved it... They redesigned the entire boat .... It's top notch. No wasted space. Storage everywhere. U can get a 250hp now.
Fished outta the hayne many times, good lay out. Good ride. Top speed will b about the same. I could do 62 with a partner and a tourny load. Very good n the slop. Floats n about 12-14 inches. After installing the bobs hyd jack plate and learning how to operate it I could get on plane in skinny water. I think ull b happy either way. |
I think you would be happy with either boat assuming you get a 225 or 250 on the Purebay. I know someone with a 150, that would not be the motor for me. I saw a purebay 2200 with a Yam 250sho on it this week at the Houston boat show, I bet that boat will fly. I had a 2400 PureBay and I now have a Haynie 24HO. Somedays I liked my Purebay better and others not so much, just depends on the application.
I look at several boats on Thursday, no 22 foot boat at that show was any better laid out than the PureBay. For the price it is a good option as is the Haynie. I like the BlackJack as much if not more than the PureBay but you are looking at 50K for that boat. |
they got a pure bay or a predator for sale by my other dads house. Was going to take a pic and put it up with the guy's number, but I figured not.
