Calcasieu river report
 

Went yesterday evenin and the water was black. See about 4-5' down. Picked up a few bass and a couple reds. Late yesterday evenin the reds started schooling in the middle of the river. I mean tearin the water up. Couldn't get em to eat anything tho. We got bit on flukes and gulp. But j threw spinner baits she dogs and not a bite. Wish Ida had a rattlin trap.

Stll a good trip. Anytime outdoors instead of work is a good day

what does that black water mean? its the same way in the butte larose canal in henderson

I saw the fish tearing up the river one evening. Got to them and all I could catch were gafftops! We must have caught 20 of them trying to find reds underneath.

We were fishin da west fork. Black water means clear. And brackish.
