Did good if we were catch and release fishing. 2 boats, 4 people caught around 80 bass all together in the 11-13inch range, fat ones. They looked like footballs. Kept 5 legal ones and 1 12 incher that I throat hooked and bled to death. They need to put the size limit back to 12 inches...Missed several big fish exceeding 3 pounds. 2 got off at the boat on lunker lures while trying to be netted. Will post pics of kept fish when they're ready to be cleaned.

Typical basin bass, they still fun to catch. Keeping a 12" bass will still get you a ticket, just sayin.

 Yeah I know, but its better to not just throw it away. The way I was taught was if you caught a undersized fish and you mortally wounded it, that it was better to just keep it and eat it than let it go to waste.

I understand, not worth getting a ticket over though. They won't go to waste gators will eat em.

figured you of all posters on this site would obey the law.
Like montauk said. A 12in fish is a 12in fish. Just sayin bro. If you wanna enforce, you gotta obey. :)

We normally don't. We're pretty good about keeping limits. Sometimes there will be an honest miscount, but we obey the law for the most part.

I know how you feel man but it is pretty costly and be careful about posting that kind of stuff. GW could take that as a confession. Glad you guys had a great day on the water.

Yeah it was pretty good. Catching nice 11-13 inch quality fat fish from the middle of the conal was pretty cool. We missed some huge ones today though.

blackmamba 06-24-2011 10:56 PM

Cut the line and let em go. Forget about the hook. They have a better chance if living if you don't try to rip the hook out.

LPfishnTIM 06-24-2011 10:57 PM

sounds fun, I wouldn't incriminate myself on a public forum, that aint smart! But I understand how you feel!

huntin fool 06-25-2011 02:54 PM

Wasn't smart to post this. Trust me GW's lurk. I've been questioned by one from a pic on Facebook.. he claimed we had rice in the pic. But we cut all the rice, there was none in the pond.

He said he was sorry and went about his bidness
