Henderson hydrilla / hyacynth spraying

I talked to a biologist from the U.S.C.O.E. yesterday and he was telling me of some real bad dead water problems at henderson right now.
He said the Black water has backed up from the south and there are large areas w/ 0% dissolved O2 .
Also they will be spraying close to 400 acres next week trying to combat the hydrilla and hyacynth. Then another 400 in a few weeks.
So if you see the airboats working you may want to give them a wide berth.

Henderson will never be the same. I remember growing up you could fish anywhere in the north and south flats. Now the grass makes that impossible. 3-5 pound bass were caught on a normal basis. Sad to see the lake I learned how to fish on go to crap. They need to give the natural river flow back to the lake IMO.
