I seen no ponds or canals North of the Lil Chenier road that had enuff water for a boat to go thru.
I did see some places just East of the Catfish Locks dock with water, but none to the West of the dock.

That's what the marsh i hunt looks like. All i can say is come teal season whoever has blinds that they can pump water too are gonna slaughter them.

Now is the time to work on your marsh blinds and dig ponds or cuts out for duck season. This is not the norm sotake advantage of plowing and putting some levees up to hold water for duck season. I did this last year and it paid off big time. I was able to do all the work I had talked about over the years to improve my spot.

High Salinities continue to creep further inland. Salinity in the ICWW at Gibstown reported by COE Calcasieu Locks personnel as 16.6 ppt 6/30/11.
