Help - sharks

so we launched at fwc then started fishing in 40' of water near a rig nothing but sharks so we continued hitting rigs we were eventually in 70' of water and still never caught any thing except sharks
what am i doing wrong we were bottom fishing carolina rigs with cigar minnows squid and pogies

the only fish i caught was king mackrel on the way in i was trying to find dolphin near the grass when this happened

any advice on avoiding sharks of finding dolphin would be helpfull

Only way to avoid sharks is get away from em. If dey der move to another rig. U was doin it right. Only thing maybe was ur weight was too light. If u got a heavy weight sometimes u can let it go down REAL fast and get past da sharks and get to da snapper.

then the sharks eat the snapper on the way up...u gotta just ditch em

They right.... If u go to 3-5 rigs and they close together..... Take about a 20 minute ride in another direction.
Sharks are fun to fight ..... But if they on a rig that's about all u gonna catch.!!
