Flounder Gigging Light Info Needed

Anyone have a good light setup to gig flounder at night. Looking for something to walk around the surf at night and gig some. (Floating light on pole are something like it)?

Just need to make a shield for the lantern to keep the light out your eyes

Several years ago some guys I used to work with would load up on them at night in GI. They would install a light bulb in a styfoam ice chest lid and float it on the water. I just dont remember all the details to build one correctly. Just looking for some more ideas.

Where's the best place to go gigging for flounder? Would love to try this.

There is an aluminum Flounder boat hanging in a boat shed on Contraband Bayou.
The kind with the Honda motor mounted on a platform and a small prop. Kinda like an air boat.

The ol coleman latern is the best. You can see them little red eyes and stick em. That is all we used when I was a kid

Thats how we do it, bring extra globes and wrap the side of the lantern shining towards you with aluminum foil.
