Kenner18 07-11-2011 01:07 PM

I hated doing my Kenner . If you could get it off the trailor and up higher it wouldnt be as bad.

inchspinner 07-11-2011 02:09 PM

Ye sides are cake botom is a ..... , pain in the butt...i only wanna do it twice a year under there not every other week, better do it right the first timee....lol.

Kenner18 07-11-2011 02:23 PM

Would be nice if you could just flip it over and do the bottom..
Make sure you use a good soap to wash it between waxes ,some soaps take the wax off .

inchspinner 07-11-2011 06:23 PM

Gotcha

inchspinner 07-11-2011 07:01 PM

kenner when did you sell your kenner, buddy of mine has a 22 ft kenner..did you like it...

Kenner18 07-11-2011 07:07 PM

I sold it in march of this year. I loved it ,but it was one of the real kenners before they sold out to bass pro. Im looking for another one now. I think the ones after 2000 are the bass pro versions. I have herd mixed reviews on those models .

Hull cleaners BADD

Hull cleaners are bad they hurt the gelcoat dont get me wrong they work great if you must use a hull cleaner you should go back over with 3m high gloss compound and put atleast two coats of wax other i work in a fiberglass boat repair shop people come in with stained hulls all the time

What is the best/ safest thing to scrub the floor of the boat with to get the blood out??

FiberglassMan21 08-13-2011 04:58 PM

Some times soap and water a scrub brush and some elbow grease if that dont work than compound with a scrub brush this is for texture onlyyy if its on smooth then just us soap and water it

What is the best Cleaner/soap to use for inside of boat.

chasin'tail 08-22-2011 09:16 AM

Softscrub works great on stains, its like a compound w/bleach. Been using it for a 10 years on my pathfinder, its got a textured covering on the decks and floors. Hell it even takes spike-it dyes off.

What do you rec. for a hull cleaner?

Ray 08-22-2011 02:45 PM

Just a word of caution, after you put the first coat on, put just a small area with a second coat and see how hard it is to get the haze off.
I made the mistake once of putting on a coat of 3M wax once, then decided to do a second coat. After I covered the whole boat with the second coat, I like to never got it off. Sometimes one is enough, then cover with a teflon polish to cover the wax.

There is a real good non-skid deck cleaner at Walmart in a dark blue bottle. Attwood is the brand. I hate Walmart and never really cared for Attwood products cause they are usually cheap, but found this stuff by accident. It works great for non-skid.
