Vernon lake 7-30-11
 

Had to work Saturday. Met bohunterbiff and my buddy Josh at 1800 to hopefully get on some fish. Arrived at our spot about 1815 and tied up to the stump, some tried shines for crappie while others fished for bass. Hooked up to first fish at approx 1822 and was slim pickets til sunset. Got checked by wlf. Checking for safety equipment and license. Sunset and the bite was stupid. Caught approx 70 small ones. Ended the day with 32 crappie and 4 channel cats. Water was dirty from the 15 mph winds. Winds were switching directions every 10 minutes. Seemed good with the s.e wind. All fish caught from 8'---12'.

Gotta say I had a blast. I am getting hooked on this night crappie fishing - plus they taste great!
