Popping corks...

Anyone use these popping corks? You tie both the line and bait line on the eye at the top. It is supposed to give you superior casting distance and less tangles. It casts like a "dart" through the air.

Looks like you tie your main line and leader line on the top....

my friend has some similar except instead of a metal stick in the middle its a steal leader. supposed to prevent tangling. was definitely a nice looking cork. worked good too

That's like taking crayons away from a kid - not nice. But I managed :)

Mid Coast Corks

Best corks on the market case closed. Few different models for different applications.

Hdfisher... can you explain why those corks are the best? I'm interested in them but need some feedback.

Those are Mid Coast Corks.

DSilva 08-16-2011 01:35 PM

Thats the MidCoast Cork. I used them for the first time this past weekend. I was really pleased with it. It will cast a mile it seems. LONG casts from the spinning reel. It has a nice sound to it also. you can give it a lite twitch to get that "trout" pop or hammer down on it and move some water. I still tied my leader to the bottom side. Works great!
