Weekend of fishing

Headed down to Big Lake Sat morning early to fish with a buddy who didnt want to fish the tourney. we launches in west cove and fished the south west side all day long.....we were only rewarded with 10 trout and 1 bull red. we were back in the truck for 3:45 and began to make our way back to Lafayette. when we got back on I-10 we were just 3/4 miles west of sulfer east bound when we hit a bump in the road due to DOTD construction and broke the axle on the trailor....this caused the tires to hit the finders and blow out hard in the middle of I-10. we had to wait till 6:30 for a 25ft flat bed tow truck to haul it back home....I finally got home around 9pm. I left the fish with my buddy and didnt take any pics. went home where my wife had dinner ready ate and went to sleep..

Got back on the road sunday with two buddys heading back to the lake to hit up a trip with Capt. Jack Corbello out of Heberts. Met him at the dock around 5:30 and headed to our first spot.....fishing was tough all day we picked up a few trout at every stop we hit...nothing big....however we did get on a massive school of bull reds....unreal man catching fish that big on top was fun.....wnded up with 45 trout and 12 reds.....all in all not a bad day.

This was my first time on a chartered trip and I was a little sceptical...because I take pride in fishing and didnt want anyone doing it for me.....I am now a changed man. Capt Jack Corbello is beyond first class. He was very professional and answered all of our questions no matter what they were. He was willing to share tips and tricks of the trade and was able to find fish even on a tough tough day. I will def be using Capt Jack Corbello again and I would recomend him to anyone....experiances or new to teh sport

Thanks For a great trip Capt Jack

Nice. We fished with capt.jack last Thursday (11th) the weather was bad but we ended up with 30 trout by 9:30 half of them on top water. Headed in early because someone (Rigratnomeaux) had to drop a Duce!!

nice catch, thanks for the report. bummer about the breakage. man that section between the first sulphur exit and the last exit is rough as a cob! the shoulder of the road has a better surface than the road, they need to smooth that out bad!
