Delacroix a.m.

made a trip to delacroix this am, didn't fish too long, first time there and wanted to explore, we caught 2 bass 1 red and a flounder, fished lost lake. next time I go i'm gonna be armed with some heavy braid and a dozen scum frogs because that grass is thick and everywhere. thats my fishing report

now its my Ironman moment time! I get my boat out the water make my way back home, and when I get in the middle of chalmette, my clutch brakes completely, I can't shift, and when I started my truck I immediately started going forward,, I shut down my truck after making it in a gas station parking lot. I call my dad tell him what going on, I live 2 hours away btw! I then call a tow truck, $185 To tow a boat and a truck to the nearest ford dealership, I waited on tow truck for an hour and a half in the heat with my friend cory, when we get to veterans ford in metarie the tow truck driver drops my truck off to truck and to the service department, the service guys tell me they're closed for the day, so I decide I'm trading my truck in and getting a new one, a sales lady finally greets me and finds me a truck in my price range, ended up buying one, ending my day with the most expensive fishing trip ever,

yeah, my old one was a single cab, v6 standard, 187k miles, never changed the clutch, it needed new fuel injectors and a rear main seal. plus I neglected to fix things on it while I was in school so it was eventually going to break down and wouldn't be worth fixing. I got 3k for my trade in and didn't owe anything on it, the truck I bought is an 05 with 29k miles xtra cab xtended warranty and gap ins $15k I don't feel I did too bad!

yeah another bill to replace a bill, I'm just glad I don't have a huge note, and I had equity in the truck I had. not to mention I had enough money to pay a tow truck and a fishing trip all in one day, Now my fishing will slow down a little, unless I split the cost of my trips with someone, which I usually do in the fall when I fish out of hopedale. either that or I'm gonna start fishing closer to home, which can be somewhat unproductive unless its spring time.
