Air Brushing

I'm thinking about purchasing an air brush system to paint some baits. Anybody know anything about 'em?

You can get a pretty good system made by a group called Iwata at hobby lobby. Iwata is what several ofmy friends use that paint for a living. They use a bigger model. But for what you are doing, the hobby lobby setup would work well

Thanks, Southern. I saw that brand on e-bay but am unfamiliar with this type of painting. I have airless sprayers that will shoot 2+ gpm and use them on a weekly basis. These airless units shoot fans from hairline to 1" in width. Even though I'm considered good at what I do...I'm no artist. This is just something I wanna try.

There is certainly a difference between painter and an artist. I'm no artist! I used to paint in the collision industry. I think you'd like one if the Iwata kits though.

I would take all your hooks and etc. off. Leave the front eye and put a piece of small wire in it to hang the lure with while painting. Also you might want to dip the lure in a clear hard finish when you have completed your colors. Leaving at least 24 hr.between the colors and the clear coat. Have fun.
