Remington 887 Nitro Mag
One more shotgun question...
Anybody shot this gun yet? I shouldered it at academy last night and it fit good, just not sure about all that plastic on it. |

I ordered one last year cause I liked the idea of the coating......went home, read the reviews online, and promptly canceled my order.......
They go off without pulling the trigger!! When you cycle the pump, the firing pin sometimes stays out. So when you extend the foregrip, the gun goes off........the internals are stamped sheet metal. Not at all like the 870!!! I would certainly google it and read some reviews for yourself! |
Well I read a bunch of reviews and watch some videos, most were good with some being bad. I did notice that most of the bad reviews about the gun not firing or like you said Dink, firing on its own, came from the camo version.
Not sure what to do....anybody got any ideas for around $400 or less. |
why not just get a 870 pump

I had a look at one this year to see if they had made improvements. They had pit the coating on the barrel crooked so it would never shoot accurate......I got the wingmaster waterfowl edition instead.

Buy you an 870 wingmaster. I love mine and you can't bog it down. My buddy has an 887 and I saw him chunk it across a dove field one day he was so mad at it. The gun is brand new and he's back to his old gun. 870 wingmaster. Way to go
|
I'll probably just buy the 870 til I get my barrel fixed. Thanks guys for the input.

Make sure u spend that extra couple hundred and get the wingmaster. Expresses aint real good either. I've had problems wit both my expresses and not to mention the wingmaster is about 2lb lighter.
