Adopting Bullmastiff
 

Came into a circumstance yesterday, a friend of mine took in a Bullmastiff who was neglected by the previous owners and had no place to put it, so today me and my roommate are "adopting" him. He is two years old..and his name is Rambo. He is about 45-60 pounds under weight, already has all his shots and is house trained. Very laid back. He was kept in his cage 75% of the time and I think he will have a great life living with us. We already have the slobber towel ready. He is practically skin and bones but is a very sweet dog. Here are some pics.. Dude is gonna be a BEAST once he puts some weight on.

Those are probably the most noble dogs out there... The sad thing is they have a very short lifespan.

My sister's live 7.

They are very docile and he doesn't seem to have a problem with it. It's about 25x bigger than his cage he has lived in. He scratches the door when he needs to relieve himself.

Love them my buddy has one and they are awesome dogs!!!!!

x2 on that. Some people should not be allowed to own an animal. Believe me that dog knows how crappy his life was before and how good it is now and he will be very loyal to you.

Been seeing alot of "Ramob" pics lately on here. lol I've been wanting a mastiff but my kids are still kinda young so we are going to wait a little while longer. A playful 50-70 lb puppy with a 2 yr old might not be good. We don't want her to be scared of dogs. Put some pics up when you put some weight on him.

People have created problems for this breed and others because of their own stupidity. Can't write homeowner policy if you have a dog on the list and most will not let you opt out of animal liability. Glad you did the right thing for the fella, my son would love to have a horse like that in my house.

A coworker of mine has one in his house with a new born, among other kids. He hasnt had any problems at all.

great dogs. The always act like a goofy ol puppy no matter how old they get. The last one I was around thought he was a LAP DOG! Imagine that think always wanting to crawl up on your lap! haha.

My niece and her husband raise them. They have 5 of them living in their house.
I couldn't do that. Way too big to put 5 of them in the house.
But they are big docile dogs. They play with their kids very well.
