Waterfowl Migration

I am wondering if anybody has seen any number of duck and/or geese. I have not been able to get out to my lease yet (wont have water until this weekend) but was looking for some reports. I saw a group of specs this morning heading southeast toward the Sweetlake area and figured we should have gotten a pretty good push of birds with this front.

We started flooding last weekend at my goose/duck blind in lyons point and that area is covered with specs and pintails. Also my duck blind in grand chenier is holding really good numbers of grey ducks and teal oh and also pookie doos.

Or plant rice instead of sugar cane...or how not to overpay for a lease driving up the prices for everyone else etc etc

All I'm sayin is all the people that say the birds don't come here any more are wrong. They just don't show up to their hole anymore. Plenty birds here in south la. Just gotta follow em.

Doug I have had seen birds everyday late in the afternoon flying. Saw my first group of mallards cross over headed southeast. I am north of I-10 between Iowa and Lacassine. Many mixed numbers of specks late late almost dark headed towards the south.
