V-Bay 10/27 in the yak
5 Attachment(s)
Put the yak in at the state park around noon and peddled out about 5 minutes from the beach. Water was nice and not a boat around the area I was in. Saw at least a hundred boats headed out to weeks around blue point and thru shark bayou. Caught fish until I picked up at 3:30. All with a beetle under a cork. Turned loose a lot of white trout and small specs. Shared my catch with some guys fishing from the bank at the park. Perfect day out on the water.

Lab Tech in BR. 5-6 days a week I comute to BR and bring my yak with me. I can get in a couple hours in Basin without going out of my way. V-Bay or Cal on days off. |
Nice! I saw you out there in the yak, saw some terns working that area of the beach for the last 3 days, surprised no boats fishing that area, guess because they were not gulls picking off shrimp...Not surprised you caught a few there!
