Our weekend in Venice
 

Took the boys down to Venice for the youth hunt.
mini Peddler made 15 today and he shot well for the weekend. His compadre did as well but little brother .........well.......he struggled but redeemed himself late this morning with an out standing twenty gauge shot on some gadwald dropping two of the three that came in.

All in all it was great, fishing was slow for us, but the Tigas made up for a tired late day.

Two limits both days three shooters.
Time the dog did great and was well needed. Did not have her the first day and left five out there including two pintail drakes.

Shot the head off one blue wing and the cruise ship was an added bonus on the way home Saturday.......like a ghost ship though, not a single person on the deck........

Peddler, Great pics with the boys. I went on a dove hunt yesterday with a friend and he had his 2 boys with him. Watching him get all the things together to just take 2 kids hunting made me think of my Dad, Beldon Trahan. He would take us duck hunting every time he went. My 3 brothers, my sister and me - 5 kids! He would pull us out of school early on Friday and we would drive all the way to Johnson Bayou and hunt. I don't know how he did it but I will remember those times all of my life. He wasn't perfect but he sure did the important stuff right. Thanks, Dad. Keep it up peddler.
