I have a Coon Problem...
Guys:
We have a terrible problem this year with coons at our deer ranch in Texas. They tore up almost every feeder between Labor day and Oct. 30. We put varmint gaurds on some of them and then they ate through the solar panel wires. Years ago I read somewhere to put a coffee can with sardines and antifreeze in a tree and the coons will eat it and die. The trick is to put it so dogs and hogs cant get to it. Has anyone ever tried this or have another idea? I don't want to disturb the least at night shooting them. |

You should electrify a silver wire around your feeder.because everyone knows coons like shiny things.

Take the cheapest cokeacola you can find and mix it Gold Malrin fly crystals. put the mixture in a old bowl and set it in the feed pen. Coons will drink it and won't make it out the pen. End of coon problem

Shoot dat them clean smoke and put in gumbo

What about everything else drinking it. Drought in texas. My thoughts are anything that comes by is going to drink it. |

These work great. You will only catch coons with these. We use them in texas. We set two or three the first night we are there and almost always catch in every trap. use marshmallows as bait. They cant resist. Unless you have a bad red ant problem they love marshmallows too. But these traps really work well. |
I cant really figure out how that trap works by lookin at it.

They are extremely attracted to fox urine. If you use some in a live trap you will catch coons. No doubt.

Deer won't drink it and the pen keeps everything like hogs out. Works like a charm
