New TV Help

Me and the wife are going to get a new tv for our gift to each other for christmas. We are going to get one during the blak friday madness. We are looking at possibly a 55". Not real sure what is good or not, but saw an LG LED for $950....What do yall think and recommend we should get?

meaux fishing 11-17-2011 06:22 PM

LG and Sony are the best tvs IMO

Lake Chuck Duck 11-17-2011 06:24 PM

LED over plasma right?

Jordan 11-17-2011 06:25 PM

We have the 55" visio's here at work. CRAP.... get a sony !!!

Jordan 11-17-2011 06:25 PM

LED !!!!!!!

Lake Chuck Duck 11-17-2011 06:32 PM

what about the led-lcd?

RODBENDER 11-17-2011 06:37 PM

Definately get something with high Megahertz 120 or better! resolution doesnt mean anything without Mhz. LG, Samsung, Vizio and Sony in that order. Jordan's Vizio is probably low Mhz and takes a long time to refresh. LED over Plasma. Wlamart has very good deal with the Vizio. But not great warranties. Price match with Best buy and Conns. The will onor the price and you can get great service. When you save on the TV you can get the better HD cables. Don't go cheep on those. I have researched TV's for quite a while now and have learned the pros and cons. Hope this helps!!! Go in there to make a deal just like a car!!!!!

Just bought a 55 Samsung led 120 hz. Very satsified with it, I bought it from c&c

Check sams club if you have a membership...they always have open box deals that either have no box or are display models or dont have a remote and they knock a couple hundred off. Led is the way to go...I have a first gen lcd and the difference between it and the led ia unbelievable.

i dont know the MHZ's on the vizio's. We have 18 here at work and there have been 5 gone out about 10 times a piece since we've had them

Me too with 3d 240hz and wifi, talk about nice and paid 1800 with 4 year warranty at conns, check on the hdmi cable though as everything i read said an hdmi cable is an hdmi cable unless you go long distances ( over 30 ft), i tried a buddies $75 cable and my $15 cable both 12' with no quality difference.

I have Samsung and HATE it! I also have a Samsung fridge and I HATE it too! I don't know much about TV's but I did see a 55" Panasonic Plasma with a free Blue Ray DVD player for $1200 at Target the other day if you don't want to fight the crowd. Looked like a good deal to me.

Trust me, we just upgrades to a 240 Hz. LED LG 55" TV. I went into every store in lake Charles; Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Sams, C & C, you name it. Conns had the best selection and prices by far and read reviews for every TV I could fnd that I was interested in. Conns on Hwy. 14 had the best deal hands down I got the 240 hz. LG for 400 less than most of the 120 hz I saw out there. If you need any more info send me a PM I can contact you and tell you probably anything you want to know.

If you are shopping for HDMI cables, TV wall mounts are anything else checkout monoprice.com their prices are better than anything around, I order all my equipment and cables from them, just as good as Monster Cable but a fraction of the cost, Wall Mounts are likr 12 bucks and are all top quality materials.
