Im not one to start sh*^ believe me but reading the post on La Sportsman lately I think I just figured out why Im starting to recognize some of the names on here that I haven't seen on there in a while. I think half of the folks on the other site or either bad fisherman or very depressed people making stupid comments about others very nice catches. Its like if you show a picture of 15 reds, you better also have in the picture 3 people with their current fishing liscences in hand. Sorry to vent but thanks for letting me. :help::work: BTW Im a very bad fisherman but I love trying to figure it out.

Yes, I agree...Last year I remember an 11 year old girl and her dad getting bashed for him letting her shoot a little deer....I just hope she never read it.. You won't find that here, the only bashing that goes on is the Texans vs. "W"

I floated around on various La. sites, and I never really found a good one until Shad constructed this place. As far as the afforementioned issue, take it to the Gill Net and see what "W" is made of. Only through the efforts of good members can this site weather that storm. So keep making this the best site in La., in spite of you know who.

I have nothing against LA Sportsman and still visit on a regular basis, but they have some folks in the audience there that are just plain mean spirited. Someone posts a pic of a deer or some fish and it seems like somebody has to doubt the authenticity of it, or the make a comment about the size of it. So far, Salty Cajun has been very positive and guys will try to help you out without giving away the coordinates to their honey hole. You can't expect more than that. Lots of positive comments on a good mess of fish being caught and such. We are trying to put together a dove hunt for this Fall and a BBQ during the football season. I would imagine as Salty Cajun grows we will attract some folks with poor attitudes. I just hope that the rest of the Salty Cajuns put pressure on those that make negative comments and let them know that's not what we are about here. I think the moderators here are doing a good job of keeping a check on bickering and such and that has been refreshing. Hell, I get to see my co-workers, my wife and my kids squable and complain all day long I don't want to see that on a fishing forum.

Yes, I am trying to put together the dove hunt. I was out of town up in Washington state for a couple of weeks doing Army reserve duty. I have called Mark Atwell but have not heard back from him yet. Will let ya'll know what I can come up with.
