Little Mallard H/C
Took Ray to the lake Saturday and it started very slow. 4 ducks for 7:00 am and it did not look good. Poor shooting and wary ducks are not a good combination but our shooting did improve enough to walk out with 15. Ray even doubled on a pair of redheads!!!
Ray will post pic of the dynamic duo if he ever gets my email. LMHC 1st split total; 318 ducks/13 hunts. Not sure of number per hunter is but avg is 17.6 birds per
hunt.

I think we only lost one bird. Wounded Greenhead in some canes.
You only lose quality birds. With the way I was shooting, I think the 2 Redheads died of a heart attack.
Note: No Spoonies were killed in the making of this picture.

My cousin was hunting some public land a few years back and on his way out he saw a greenhead floating that had been dead for a while, flipped it over and it was banded!! |
