Tiny tach?

Im looking at buying a S/S prop and I need to know what rpm im running before I order. Has anyone installed a tiny tach on an outboard before? If so whats it consist of for the install.

Thanks!!!

It's pretty easy. One wire is grounded on the block somewhere and the other wraps around a spark plug wire 3-5 times.

Make sure you run the wire on the opposite side of the block from the coils and cut off the extra on the wire you wrap around the plug wire.

Thanks for the help. Do most boat dealers have them or it must be ordered?

I did mine like that to make sure I didn't have any interference from the coils. Sounds like I didn't have to, but i didn't try it any other way.
